Mack: ObamaCare Must Be Repealed, Replaced and Never Allowed to Happen Again

Statement

Date: July 11, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

Today Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) voted to repeal ObamaCare, a measure that passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 244 - 185. Congressman Mack recently introduced two pieces of legislation that would repeal the law in its entirety and block funding for the law's implementation: the"NObamacare Act" and the "NObamacare Funds Act."

"ObamaCare was jammed down the throats of the American people by President Obama and Nancy Pelosi despite the public's widespread opposition. It wasn't just the wrong-headed government takeover of healthcare, but it was also the highest and most obscene tax increase in the history of America," Congressman Connie Mack said. "The American people don't like ObamaCare. They can't afford ObamaCare. And the House has now done what the American people want and deserve by voting overwhelmingly to repeal it.

"President Obama's failed liberal policies of higher taxes, more spending, and over regulation are strangling our economy and halting job growth. This country simply cannot afford ObamaCare. I will continue to stand up for the American people and vote to repeal ObamaCare both fully and piece by piece. Enough is enough. The people deserve better."
